Who can benefit and how
The Arvia process delivers cost savings in the treatment of trace and low-levels of any organic pollutants. In particular, the process can be applied to the treatment of wastewater, noxious odours, drinking water, industrial process streams, chlorinated organic compounds and to achieve extremely low discharge consents (<ppb).
The use of our technology in conjunction with other treatment solutions, such as membrane or UV, also provides substantial customer benefits.
Wastewater
- Final effluent treatment or effluent polishing
Odour Treatment
- Treatment of noxious odours within water or air
Drinking Water
- Removal of colour, pesticides or natural organic matter
Industrial Process Streams
- Treatment of any organic-based waste including PCBs, phenols, organic dyes and VOCs
- Recovery of process water for energy or water usage savings
Chlorinated Organic Compounds
- Nyex 110 preferentially removes chlorinated solvents in the presence of other organics
Very Low Discharge Consents (<ppb)
- Removal of trace levels of organics, such as endocrine disrupting compounds
Complementary Treatments
The use of Arvia's process with existing technologies can reduce energy requirements and lower operating costs, for example:
- UV Treatment - the Arvia process can be used in conjunction with UV treatment, for example to remove trihalomethanes (THMs), trichloroacetates (TCAs) or residual colour
- Membrane Treatments - the Arvia process can be used to treat concentrate streams and is complementary to lower-cost membranes, such as ultrafiltration
What we offer that other technologies do not:
- Regeneration Onsite - eliminating landfill, transportation and offsite regeneration costs
- Tuneable Process - effluent not over-treated
- No Sludge Production - no by-products requiring further treatment
